I Tried to change the garage door keypad. On the 11th unsuccessful try I called Michigan Door. They managed to fit me in on a Saturday! The service tech was super friendly, timely and knowledgeable. My old bi-fold doors would not close over my new, larger furnace. Not only did Jacob from Doors of Pontiac replace the doors, he built out the frame so that they could close completely. We ordered a new garage door and it was installed in a two week timeframe. The team of installers came exactly when they said they would be there. During the installation they were not happy with how the panels were working and told us they were going to call the company and have new ones sent. Yesterday the repair man came back to video the door in operation and said we would be getting an entire new door! You can’t get better service than what Doors of Pontiac delivers. I don’t think we would have ever noticed it but he did and wants it to work correctly. They truly stand behind their sales and service!!!

Things I appreciate: Very clear communication. On-time arrival. Polite and knowledgable worker. Made the needed repair and upgrades to my aging door.Not-ideal, but understandably, they needed to make a second trip to fix an additional problem that was either missed or surfaced later. They gave us the benefit of the doubt and made the additional repair - new safety sensors - without charging another "house call" fee. I only paid the cost of the additional parts.We had a problem with the new safety sensor two weeks later and the same tech was out the same day I called to make the needed adjustments. He also re-trained me on how to do this DIY, and waived any charges.... they did the right things.

I called late on a Friday evening and someone was here by 10am the next morning. He replaced the spring, did some other maintenance and was on his way in an hour's time. The final price was much less than we were quoted from a major competitor. Michigan Door is 5-star in our book!!

Seals perfectly, no wind, snow or rain. Joe and an apprentice (Billy?) installed our new front door w/ sidelites yesterday. They removed and reinstalled an existing storm door as well. They were both polite, professional, efficient and did an excellent job. I was very impressed.Side note, Joe was very calm and understanding and a great teacher to his apprentice. As a sports coach to young kids, just listening to the way he explained everything was impressive. Not that Billy didn't understand, but having someone explain the reason for doing something so they actually learn the why is a great asset.
