I have been a customer of Doors of Pontiac/Michigan Door for over 25 years. They have been trustworthy and reliable. Today my garage door opener was replaced by their technician, Mike Jones. Mike is the the kind of technician that every customer would want to perform their work. He gave me a one hour window for the appointment and texted me when he was on his way. He was friendly, polite and explained what needed to be done. He offered 2 types of openers explaining all the pros and cons of each one. He gave recommendations and he listened to my concerns. He was skilled at his job and completed the work without any problems, and showed me that everything worked properly. Mike is a valuable asset for Michigan Door.

Jacob was well prepared to install two new exterior doors. Each door required unique challenges due to old built in doors.He worked from 9 am until 5:30 pm with help from another installer who came at 4:30 to help complete the job. I called today to ask about having some work done on one of my garage doors. When asking about timing to get the work done, I was delighted to hear “we can have someone out today, in about an hour.” Great service to be sure!Their tech Michael called me within a few minutes to get a better understanding of what I needed done and was then on his way. Upon arrival, Michael assessed the situation, offered a couple of options and once we agreed to an approach, he got right to it. They can answer any questions you might have and make good suggestions on solutions for your door projects. I have used them in the past and always been pleased with their products/service. Update , placed order on door about 4 week ago and Bill installed today. He did an awesome job of removing the trim and reusing it and installing it much tighter than the door that came out. Things I appreciate: Very clear communication. On-time arrival. Polite and knowledgable worker. Made the needed repair and upgrades to my aging door.Not-ideal, but understandably, they needed to make a second trip to fix an additional problem that was either missed or surfaced later. They gave us the benefit of the doubt and made the additional repair - new safety sensors - without charging another "house call" fee. I only paid the cost of the additional parts.We had a problem with the new safety sensor two weeks later and the same tech was out the same day I called to make the needed adjustments. He also re-trained me on how to do this DIY, and waived any charges.... they did the right things.

We ordered a new garage door and it was installed in a two week timeframe. The team of installers came exactly when they said they would be there. During the installation they were not happy with how the panels were working and told us they were going to call the company and have new ones sent. Yesterday the repair man came back to video the door in operation and said we would be getting an entire new door! You can’t get better service than what Doors of Pontiac delivers. I don’t think we would have ever noticed it but he did and wants it to work correctly. They truly stand behind their sales and service!!!

Great workmanship with nice people.They have installed a window that replaced a door adn went above and beyond, installing the drywall for free and doing the 1st mudding.They installed a new insulated Garage door. Seals perfectly, no wind, snow or rain. This is a light weight insulated door and it keeps the garage warm in winter and cool in summer without any HVAC in the garage.I would recomend them to anyone.Chris

We had a problem with our garage door opener. Doors of Pontiac sent a wonderful technician that diagnosed the problem. Replaced a circuit board. Programs the remotes and walked me through setting up my cellphone to sync with the garage door. Everything was covered under warranty. Joe and an apprentice (Billy?) installed our new front door w/ sidelites yesterday. They removed and reinstalled an existing storm door as well. They were both polite, professional, efficient and did an excellent job. I was very impressed.Side note, Joe was very calm and understanding and a great teacher to his apprentice. As a sports coach to young kids, just listening to the way he explained everything was impressive. Not that Billy didn't understand, but having someone explain the reason for doing something so they actually learn the why is a great asset.
